Cornell University Solar Energy Fund
Thanks to the solar fund, the Day Hall Solar Project is up and running with more projects on their way!
How can you help?
There are many ways in which you can help make this project a success. The first is to make a tax deductable donatation to the Solar Energy Fund. Whether it is for $5, $50, $500 or more, every donation counts for more than just its monetary value. It shows the University that the environment is important to the Cornell community. Also, find out if your company offers matching charitable donations.

Online
To make a credit card donation online, fill out the gift form. In the drop down menu, select "Cornell University" for gift designation and "Cornell Fund" for to support and type in "Solar Fund" for other gift designation.

Phone
To make a donation by credit card over the phone, call Kelly Maule at the Cornell Fund at 607.254.6106 and tell her your gift is to the Solar Fund.

Mail
To make a donation by mail, please mail a check made payable to Cornell University to:
Cornell Fund
Attn: Kelly Maule
55 Brown Road
Ithaca, NY 14850

and write in Solar Fund in the comment line.

Other
The next way you can help is to include a letter with your check or simply send an email to President Skorton, telling him why you are making this donation and how important the environment and sustainable energy is to you. It doesn't have to be anything long, but it is important for Skorton to hear early-on in his tenure that this is an important issue for Cornell. Thanks to the outpouring of support when President Lehman started, he went from admitting that he knew little about issues of sustainability to making sustainability in the age of development one of the university's three major priorities.

If you are involved with a company that can offer a discount on PV system components or design services, this will help extend the abilities of the solar fund to cover the campus. Please contact us if you would like to help in this way.

Lastly, spread the word to all of your Cornell friends about this exciting project. Hundreds of people giving even a few dollars adds up to a significant amount and sends a clear message to the University.
